Leinenkugel Brewhouse

Jake Leinenkugel wanted to create a state-of-the-art brewing facility that looked as if it was built with the original buildings. “I want to respect and strengthen Leiny’s history.” Connolly Architects created a building that exposed the brewing process through three story vertical window patterns. Old world stone work that complemented the 1880’s bottling house was detailed. A safe starting point for the brewery tour including elevator and “grand” stairwell was also designed. The entire building was stacked on a very small area of land surrounded on three sides with other buildings. Jake has doubled his brewing capacity and visitors don’t even notice the new building!
